i like a squeeze of lemon or lime and also rice wine vinegar. you can get them in all sorts of flavors and they are fat free with only 10 calories per 2 tbsp service.

Here is a recipe that I got at a Weight Watchers meeting years ago. 1/4 cup is only 50 calories !!

Fat Free Ranch Dressing

1 cup fat free mayo
1 cup fat free sour cream
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (dry mix)
1/4 cup fat free 1/2 & 1/2

Mix all ingredients in a glass jar with cover. Easy to shake and store.

Makes an excellent salad dressing or veggie dip .

I love either salsa with a small amount of avocado, or I make my own vinegarette. I take balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, a dash of fish sauce (found usually in the asian food section of most grocery stores) and some black pepper.

I like a simple oil and vinegar dressing. I recommend playing around with your salad ingredients to include more flavors you enjoy, and decreasing the amount of dressing you use. I usually use about half a tablespoon of dressing on my salad and it's totally delicious. Try measuring out your dressing and slowly cutting back the amount, and using oil and vinegar rather than something pre-made and full of salt. Olive oil is a really healthy fat that is a great addition to your diet, and it will be so much more flavorful than the fat-free dressings out there.

My sister loves to put a little salsa into her salad instead of dressing. This gives a nice kick without a lot of extra calories. If you want it a little creamier add a teaspoon or so of lite sour cream!

I'll eat salad, but love mine "floating" in dressing. Does anyone know of anything I can use other than dressings to make my salad taste better?
