Hello, I'm not big on writing out messages on the board, but when I saw your post I had to type something. First off congrats on the weight loss success and the upcoming marriage! My wedding is Aug 14th and I totally know what you're going through! I think it's our bodies going into shock because we are becoming healthier. What I found helps is: remember this is not a short term thing, it's a life style change and there is no deadline to getting healthy. Also be proud of the accomplishments no matter how big or how small! And don't beat yourself up when you had/or need a break. I look at it like this 90% I eat and exercise great, but then there's that 10% where I'll skip a day or two at the gym and have a cheat meal(s). lol Everyone needs a break sometimes. I still feel like I look the same even though I lost a good bit of weight. Everyone around me seems to see the change, but I still only see it on the scale and measurements. There are times when I'll see my reflection and think "hum maybe I am changing!" It takes time and you just have to allow yourself the time for your brain to catch up with your body. Best of Luck and keep going! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Whew. Our wedding is Aug. 20th, I have lost 60lbs. over the past 18 months, my tummy needs to be smaller for my dress. My youngest child just graduated from high school and ever since I saw a picture of myself I have freaked. I don't know who that person is in the picture - I look 'normal' compared to family members. Where did the big girl go?
I am feeling freaked about being on display in front of so many people. We are doing our best to keep the wedding casual (picnic theme in our backyard/city park). I'm 46, it's a second marriage for both of us. I need to get back on track with my healthy eating and fitness. How? Why would it be so horrid to look good and be comfortable in my own skin?
I have 10 lbs. to go to get to my goal weight and evertime I get close I zoom back up again. Has this happened to anyone? any suggestions in how to get over my fear of succeeding? to get my head on board?
