Sorry to hear about your virus but don't be disappointed. there is a chair exercise team for people with limited mobility. Also go to Indygirl's blog....she's great inspiration for those who started with limitations and overcome them.

I am also returning to Sparkpeople after a few months. I started 2 years ago and did great! I tracked my food intake and my workouts. I lost 30 pounds! I started school full-time and travel an hour and 40 minutes one way to school every day. I did well packing my food and planning my meals each day, but my schedule got hectic and I stopped. It was much easier to grab a bite to eat while I was driving home. Needless to say, the weight came back! I am back on track now!!

So sorry to hear that!! I hope that you are feeling well again soon!

I have recently returned to Sparkpeople too. I joined last March, but 2 days after joining, my Momma passed away unexpectedly. I was devastated. I couldn;t eat anything for almost a week, especially anything healthy. And with so much going on at that time such as planning the funeral and taking care of my Dad, it was hard for me to even log into SP daily.

But, things are better, and I have been able to gradually get back into my routines after the new year. I am more excited about being able to use SP than I have ever been since joining! I have joined a gym locally and even got my husband to join with me. We enjoy looking for new healthy recipes that we can cook together, and even get the kids to help in the kitchen.

I hope that you are feeling well enough soon. I would suggest that you just take those small steps needed to get well first, then you will know when you are able to add different things to your daily routines. You know that you always have SP here when you are ready and able, and we are all here to help ya in any way possible when you need encouragement or support!

In late November I was getting ready for a Cancun vacation. I wanted to be able to walk for longer periods of time and was using a recumbent bicycle. The trip was great. Unfortunately after I got back I caught a virus (probably on the plane) and I ended up in the hospital for four days. I still have to use oxygen at night. It probably will take a while before I can start exercising on the bike. I have a video for older people so I guess that's where I start. It's disappointing when you have worked so hard to get stronger and end up with less strength than you had before. emoticon
