I've always kept myself within a healthy weight range, but after my husband's death last year, the needle on the scale has been slowly creeping up. I normally weigh myself every day, but after a few weeks of traveling, birthday parties, a baby shower, and general over-indulgence, I decided to get a handle on things before they got out of control. After putting exercise on the back burner for more than a year, I started working out again this week and diligently entered my information on the nutrition and fitness trackers. My first goal is to lose five pounds by December 31, and when I weighed in today, I had already lost two! Doing this with the holidays coming up will be tough, but I'm determined to enjoy my favorite foods within reason. I know I can do this and I'm looking forward to getting stronger and feeling better!
