I yes I only counted gardening because my husband and I were unloading a tuck load of dirt for our garden and digging out the grass where we put it. I do not count when I am just working in my yard other then mowing.like I said I round everything down so I do not think I have burned more calories than I really have. I will work on changing the intensity of my workouts, I only have so much time that my 17 month isn't under my feet so I guess I have just been doing what worked lately. Thank you :)

Change things up. whether its food, or exercise or......

and maybe focus on non scale changes. This month I'm trying very hard to focus on healthy behaviors, not what the scale says.

When you're on a calorie deficit for a prolonged period of time your metabolism slows as it tries to compensate for the low calorie intake. Your body also adjusts to the type, intensity, etc. cardio you do as you become more fit/weigh less, so you do not burn as many calories as you once did.

To prevent a metabolic decrease you should have a full body strength training program. Building muscle will increase your metabolic rate. You can increase the duration, type, intensity of your cardio. I find eating more or calorie cycling often busts plateaus. If you are near your healthy weight, you should not be trying to create as large as a calorie deficit as you did in your overweight or obese BMI. 1/2 lb-1 lb/week is more realistic.

According to your fitness tracker, you count gardening as exercise? The more fit you become and the less you weigh, the less calories you will burn from this sort of activity. You will have to do moderate-high intensity cardio (40-60 mins 5x a week) if you want a significant calorie burn. I don't even track my nature walking anymore even though I walk for upwards of 2-2.5 hours. If you are pressed for time, I would look into HIIT (high intensity interval training). HIIT also works like strength training and will help increase your metabolic rate.

Basically, you're going to want to look into anything that will help repair your metabolism. Dieting wreaks havoc on our RMR.

A couple of months back I was stuck in the most frustrating plateau. I was exercising like a mad woman and eating about 1200 calories/day, the low end of my range. Finally, after reading a few Sparkers' comments re: plateaus, I stopped exercising for about a week. I suddenly lost weight (and then started working out again). I think my muscles may have been retaining water, which can be common when exercising a lot, and especially when first starting an exercise regimen (I read this a bunch of places).
Best of luck to you and do hang in there because, eventually, you'll break through your plateau (and you'll be so pleased!). :)

I really hoped I would not plateau but after 42 lbs my weight loss has slowed down a lot! I still burn well over 1000 calories a week and I always round down when putting in time or numbers just to be safe. I also still eat 1200-1500 calories.... I am a stay at home mom and college student and I need some advice to help me get back to losing at a decent pace. I would appreciate an input thanks :)
