A diabetic diet is not only good for diabetes, but blood pressure, cholesterol and reducing triglycerides....it also reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke. Diabetes also affects the thyroid......What has your doctor recommended? Ask for a referral to a registered dietician if you need help with foods.
I'm not sure if I should use the heart healthy, pre-diabetes or both. i have high blood pressure and cholesterol, I am pre-diabetic and hypo thyroid. I'm female, 63yrs, 5'3" and i need to lose 48lbs to get to 140lbs so which do you suggest?
