I feel for those who have peanut allergies. So many things have to be eliminated.

yes I knew someone who had an exotic nut allergy, she was at a party and someone ordered a piece of cake, they didn't want the rest of it so they cut the piece in half and put it in the middle of the table for anyone else to eat. The girl just took a lick of the frosting (didn't know it was hazelnut frosting) she left shortly later with BF she was having trouble breathing and when he looked at her , her head swelled 2 sizes larger, he stopped at a fire department they rushed her in but she ended up dying... Very sad she left behind 2 little kids too all because she wasn't aware it was hazelnut frosting on the cake. Just like when you go to the doctors and they ask if you have a latex allergy, I use to work at an OB GYN and the doctor moved a patient out of a room that was latex free, not thinking and used latex gloves on her (she was pregnant at the time to, she figured she'd do a ultra sound on her) the woman had to be rushed to the hospital , couldn't breathe they had to deliver the baby give a c section (they tried to pin it on the poor medical assistant , but she did everything right it was the doctors fault at least the doctor admitted it was her fault) .... she ended up okay and the baby too but it was scary....

Thanks so much for this warning!
This could be very dangerous!

Yes that was one of the most informative shows I've seen in a very long time, that's why I made another title label fraud and tried to remember everything I saw on the TV... See imagine that you thought you bought the good EVOO and it didn't have the numbers just amazing how they can and might be putting peanut oil in it and not putting it on the label. I mean so many with peanut allergies I'd think that would be against the law or something.....

I saw that show too! Had some very good tips. I checked my olive oil;it didn't have the certification letter. Oops! I will definitely check from now on.

your welcome you should look under the other page I did label fraud, I found the info very useful and wanted to share with my spark friends... I just put this one separate so people with peanut allergies would be sure to see.
Another tip on EVOO-- buy it in dark containers if you are going to leave it on your counter or somewhere light can get to it. you lose a lot of the benefits from the oil.

I was watching Rachael Ray this afternoon and I saw a segment on EVOO and peanut allergies, it said when buying your EVOO make sure it has a certification number to make sure it's actually real EVOO (extra virgin olive oil). The woman said it should have a number on the back of the container and that if it doesn't that they might be putting other oils in with it like vegetable oil and YES PEANUT OIL AND THEY DON'T MENTION THAT PEANUT OIL IS IN IT... BE CAREFUL!!!!!!
