glad ur doing better. Richard Bernstein M.D. who wrote "THE DIABETES SOLUTION" says that ALL obese people are Insulin Resistant and with time will develop Type 2 Diabetes. He recommends that all obese people take Metformin in order to help with weight loss. I got his book at the library and recommend it to everyone. (26 million Americans have Type 2 diabetes). He has wonderful lectures on YouTube.

Dr. Bernstein has had Type 1 diabetes since he was 12 and he is a healthy 78 now. He follows a low carb diet.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in May 2013 and weighed 366 pounds, so I wanted to change myself, didn't work out very good the first month, then I found out of the blue and tried it, helped me get on track and I have lost 127 pounds, went from a size 46 in pants to a 38, and to top it all off, on December 2nd my doctor took me off metamorfin and told me I was completely under control, blood pressure for the first time in years is under control. I am so glad I found Spark people and I really appreciate them so much cause this site really does motivate you and help in every way. Thank You Spark People
