Great ideas !! I have only been to a drive thru 3 times in the last decade, but have a plan, and they always give it to me. A large salad, no fatty toppings or dressing, and a grilled chicken sandwich, sans toppings and bun, just in a separate container. When home, mix in a cuke, tomato and chow down. emoticon

I often order the unsweetened ice tea and no fries at a drive through, it saves a lot of calories.

I would like to share a good idea when life gets very busy and you feel torn about using a drive through. If you are going home anyway and you don't have the time to cook a full meal. Buying a healthier option sandwich and forgoing the fries and beverage and instead go home and suppliment with a quick already made up salad or raw veggies you already have on hand. Or a soup or piece of fruit would really create a healthy balance for your family. Not to mention the finacial savings.
