Hope your shift goes well, and temptations are well out of reach :-)

that would be fun to do, actually. a bit challenging with the number of staff and the sporatic nature of our schedule. we are always working with different people.

second of three shifts and so far so good.

Maybe in the course of your 'inquisitive nature' you could challenge your co-workers to create healthier food options and see who can come up the with best. Perhaps part of the challenge could be to do a whole month, but keep a chart where a winner is announced each night. At the end of the month, the GRANDE Winner is announced and gets a little prize.
There's nothing like using psychology to help YOU get the others to make it easier for you - LOL! You never know, you might just convert them. Maybe you could do it as a 'round the world' trip with meals.

I work in psychiatry, where the nights are usually quiet and the staff like to cook and eat junk food. All went well though, not a single chip made it past these lips :)

Now heres hoping tonight has less temptation!

I'm in NZ and it is 2330hrs - just coming up to Sunday.

I kinda thought that you might have been a nurse - funny that, eh :-)

I take it you are enjoying a fairly quiet shift?? What sort of nursing do you do?

I USED to be a caregiver, and one of my specialties was terminal night nursing, generally when the patient was at the end. I also did Caregiving in a Rest Home, and part of my wrk was 2 night shifts a week (sole charge) for around 30 people. That was HARD work, having to cover everything myself.

Have a good night - I'm off to bed now!

Remember, this is an International site! Where are you from, and what sort of work do you do? (IF you don't mind my being nosy - LOL!) I tried to peek at your SparkPage but you don't have one. You will find you will get tons more support (and loads of new friends) if you create one, and have it open so that other members can drop by. They will be able to leave encouraging little messages!

the food is 'over there' and im doing my best to avoid it and keeping my mind busy by using my ipad to look at fitness related stuff. its helping to keep me motivated. i cant move the food and i cant sit anywhere else. so i will just keep avoiding :) thanks for replying so late at night lol

Occupy your mind with other things. Are you able to turn them around so that they are out of your face or do a lot of other people 'need' access to them?
