Hi Denise!

Glad you're with us on Sparks. First step is identifying you have an issue - you are already there. Now, just pick one thing and try to change that. Maybe that's walking around the block, writing down what you eat (keep eating whatever, but start a new habit of writing), or maybe keeping a journal every day to track your emotions and feelings. For me - seeing in written on paper helps me identify my real underlying issue and gets whatever is bothering me out of my head. Stick with it - big things come from small changes! Nanci emoticon

Welcome to SP!

There are a few things that come to mind:
1) Keep tracking everything you eat and drink!
2) You may adjust your goals once you see how it goes on your current one.
3) Try to cook healthier (maybe you already are).
4) Avoid sugar and alcohol. (And avoid eating out too often.)
5) Get enough sleep.
6) Do not stress too much -- that usually makes you go against good eating habits.
7) Drink a lot of water and avoid pretty much all other beverages (tea and coffee are fine, just avoid the sugar and milk).
If you stay below your maintenance calories, you will lose... maybe slowly, but surely!

Welcome to SP--you're off to a great start here. Keep posting and tracking daily. Setting up your own Spark page so we can get to know you is a great help. And remember, we're all in this together. We help one another to get to the goal of a healthy weight and lifestyle. Together WE CAN DO IT!! emoticon emoticon

One thing you said troubles me. You said "I eat when I can." That tells me you're not putting a high enough priority on your healthy lifestyle. You really NEED to plan your meals and snacks and take time for eating--not just 'when you can'. Personally, I find that I do better if I have 3 small meals and 2 or 3 snacks (usually a piece of fruit or slice of toast with honey or a few nuts) between the meals--never more than 3 hours between some kind of food. When I go off this planned schedule, my eating is less healthy. I am not able to walk at all (20-30 feet at a time is good for me) due to injuries and mobility issues, but I can do exercise from my chair and do that daily. Even with my issues, I've been able to lose 80 lb. and am still losing. Join some teams of people with similar interests and I'm sure you'll find lots of support. YOU CAN DO THIS! You're worth it. And SP has lots of great supportive people here to help you. emoticon

ok ill be honest, i am a hot mess. i am my biggest weight ever. I can point fingers and blame everyone around me. i have moved alot in my adult life. and i stress over it. i started walking before i got my divorce, and lost 20 pounds.. i started a new relationship and let myself go right back to doing nothing and hating myself. I NEED YOUR HELP.
Please. feel free to message me. words of hope, and your input will be so apprecaited.. I dont sit around and eat all day. I eat when i can, i dont get out much, because I have a bad back. i used to love love love walking..
so heres Me out there for you to see.. im willing , im able. i need help..
