All great ideas for us newbies; thanks for all the input. I was also thinking of looking in Spark recipes for some homemade granola bars. That would be delicous and filling and good for you. There seem to be so many good recipies on that site if you have a little time to make them.

I like to prepare a smoothie (milk and yogur) in an individual blender, then add the frozen fruit just before I need it. I walk out of the house with breakfast in minutes.
I also like fresh cut fruit and veggies in ziplocks to just grab and go. Take along a pre-prepared small container of peanut butter or hummus for added protein.
Nuts and seed are also a quick to go snack!

If I am going somewhere with a fridge (or I am out for a short time) hummus and crackers or carrots. Plain yogurt, regular or greek, with honey. Yum!

Two that I love is..........Take a banana and and cut the length of the banana on both sides to make a small trench in it and take it out but leave on the rest of the peel. Then fill the trench with natural peanut butter. Then when you are ready to eat peel the rest of banana........The second is to core a apple and make full apple slices take two and put peanut butter between them and you have a apple sandwich.

Chopped up carrots, celery or grapes, apple, banana. Pre-prep my husband's to take to work. Just throw them in a ziploc.
I always take a snack bag with me wherever I go. I pack it with nuts, hard boiled eggs, apple slices, cheese, bananas, peanut butter, yogurt, carrot sticks, cucumber slices. Now I don't pack all of that at once, but always have some combination of above available in my house that I can quickly grab and get out the door.
I don't leave home without a big jug of water either.
I keep a small ziplock back of nautral almonds and raisins in my purse in case I feel the need for a snack and I am away!

I use fruit, hard boiled eggs, nuts, vegetables, and homemade healthy snacks. I find that apples and organic peanut butter work great together for a healthy snack.
The best thing is to have them prepared in little snack containers then when I find myself getting hungry for something I just grab my snack container that I have portioned for myself so I don't have to think about it.

fruit is always quick to grab. I also love the diamond almonds - with sea salt, or dusted with cocoa. They are processed though, but not a ton of additives.....

Not sure if this is available near you, but most convenience stores near me (WaWa and QuikChek) have a good selection of unpocessed snacks like bananas, apples, oranges, hard boiled eggs, precut veggies with dip, and cheese slices.

Do you all know any natural unprocessed snacks on the go? I mean, I work full time and I don't have a lot of time for additional preparation. Tonight is prayer meeting at church, and by the time I get home from work and pick up my son from daycare, it's time to head to church. We will get home around 9:00 and for me, that's too late to eat. Thanks
