That's a great idea!

One of the places I was living during university was a three-story (two floors and a basement). My room was in the basement, and the piano was on the second floor. Since I am a musician both by trade and training (my degree was in music), I was constantly going back and forth between the piano and the rest of the house. It was nuts. No need to go to the campus gym with a house that big.

I moved the TV from the family room right by the kitchen down to the basement. This serves two purposes. One is that when I need to start another load of laundry or go to the restroom, I have to run up and down the stairs and hurry to make it during commercial breaks. The other is that it makes me consider whether or not I really want that snack bad enough and if I do, I have to run up and down the stairs again to get it.
