Hello all I've been a lost soul for awhile....I was doing really good than bam!!!! My weight has sky rocketed to an all time high except when I was pregnant....but I'm not far behind it!!! I was trying another group that wasn't so confusing to follow but the support was awful. Anyways I need support and motivation to get in the groove of things. My fridge and couch have become my best friends...and in the mean time I'm getting more and more depressed and things are actually starting to hurt. It took everything I had to get motivated enough to go for walk with my son today to enjoy one of our last mild days outside before old man winter sends snow our way....I used to be fit and very active but the last couple years I just lost the passion which has left me depressed and miserable. :(

Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Hi my name is Annice and I was part of this website back in 2011. Needless to say I loved my experience two years ago but I fell of the horse. Gaining 30 pounds since then has not been fun but I believed I was comfortable. It wasn't until I started having major health problems (headaches, neck pain, pain everywhere really) that I realized that maybe I needed to get back on that horse again. I love sparkpeople and everything they offer! Between marking down my calories, giving me exercise plans (I work everyday so it's very hard for me to be in the mood to work out after I get home), delicious recipes and even tracking my attitudes throughout the day! So if you are and old member or a new you found the right place to get back on track. I hope everything works out for me in these next couple of months and maybe even for the rest of my life. And I also wish everything works out for everyone out here as well =)
