Swimming? Just be careful with this. I am still recovering from foot surgery that I had in January :)

I broke my ankle and a small bone in my leg this past winter, black ice eeeek, which required surgery, pins, then more surgery. 7 months later it is still swollen a bit and not 100% as strong as it was before the break Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated on how to get fitness accomplished without causing damage or pain?
