So glad to get a post from you. I am 57 almost and trying to get healthier. I have already lost quiet a bit of weight but last year i lost 30 lbs which i managed to gain back in a few months. I just lost track and motivation and now paying the price. I am determined to get back on track.

Your spark page is a true inspiration for me.

The key is most definitely commitment to the cause....

I remember the lighter steps i was taking this time last year.... i want them back!!!!!!

later,

deb

I was 54 when I joined SparkPeople and 56 when I came back and started my Spark Program, starting with Stage One. This is a one day at a time program, but if you do the SparkPeople Program Steps, it really does work. I am terribly average, it's the SP program that is extraordinary.

I found logging my foods in the Nutrition Tracker helped me to lose 90 lbs in 16 months! I started at 210 and went to 120. I am 5'1.5" short, lol.

I hung clothing that was too small on my closet door and every time I would get discouraged I would try them on. Week by week they started fitting! That kept me motivated.

Welcome aboard, we really are all in the same boat! Sometimes we can sail right along but sometimes we have to be rowing like crazy!

You can make it happen! SparkPeople really does work!

I spent most of my 59 years in Obesityville - that is one town I never want to visit ever again!
Slim City is way more fun!!

Welcome back, Maggie! I know exactly where you're at right now. Two years ago, I was 70 pounds lighter, but I gained it all back because I slipped into my old habits again. Yikes. Anyway, I'm back on the horse, and ready to do this for the last time! We can do it!

Best of luck!

So here i go again.... Reeving-up to get serious about my nutrition and fitness goals...

Time to get back on the plan and recharge my commitment ....

This time last year i was on my way to being healthy and fit!

I have made to much progress to sink into the abyss!!!

Guess i will keep up with my own messages and blogs to track my progress.... and remember to journal...
