Congrats on getting married! I'm getting married this November! I too want to lose weight before my wedding so I can feel confident in my dress. I would also love if my fiancÚ could carry me, instead of me having to carry him! Lol. I've been dieting for a while too, but I was finally able to stick to it. I've lost close to 50 pounds in the past seven months or so. It's tough, but once you make those small changes in your life, it's easier and easier to say no to certain foods.

This is a great site to find motivation. I would advise you to create your SparkPage. This will help by allowing other Sparkies to give you goodies and post messages of encouragement.

I've been where you are before many times. Always seeming to struggle with my weight. What is helping me this time around is my Spark Activity Tracker (aka SPAT). I purchased it to help motivate me to move more. In the little over 2 months that I've had it, I've lost almost 9 pounds. That is because I want to reach my daily goal, get my trophy from SparkPeople and see the lights go all the way around my SPAT. The benefit is I'm burning more calories.

Also, find a team that has the same interest, hobbies or goals you do. They will be there when you need encouragement and cheer for you when you reach a goal.

Feel free to visit my SparkPage or message me.

Your SparkFriend,
Danielle

Hi all im Nikki and im new to spark people ive been dieting since I was 12 im now 32 and definitely heavier than when I was 12 lol. Ive joined spark people because im getting married next year and I really don't want to walk down the aisle overweight. I read somewhere that having an online buddy increases your chances of losing weight and sticking with it. If anyone would like to pair up for support and motivation please send me a msg :-) x
