thank you so much. it DOES help. I have tried low carb and it just makes my cravings worse. perhaps i'll take a look at what a serving size is again. I know for pcos they said that calories had more of an affect that low carb or high carb.

Hi, Brenna84. It is hard to fight the desire to hunker down in the winter. I'll share what has helped me and I'm sure others will chime in with their tips.

I've had some problems getting motivate to exercise over the last week too. I tell myself all I have to do is 10 minutes. That I can handle and it gets me started. I try and get outside for at least 10minutes even if it is cold and nasty. The fresh air helps wake me up and if nothing else, the cold makes me move faster to keep warm.

When it comes to cravings, the thing that has helped me the most is to stop doing quick fix, or low carbohydrate diets. I'm not on a diet. I watch my portion size. I track my food and exercise. I eat a wide variety of food making the majority whole foods--whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats--instead of a lot of processed foods. Nothing is forbidden. I can have anything I want. I just need to measure one portion and track it, giving up something else if necessary to fit that into my calorie range.

It is amazing how freeing this is and how much better I feel.

Different things work for different people. This is what has been working for me. 37 pounds down in 3.5 months.

Right now I am having the hardest time keeping it together. arghhh.

winter is here now (first actual snow) and I just want to veg and eat. and I'm tired allthe time. and trying to overcome teh carb cravings/addictions but they're all I can think about. i have no idea on what to do to keep my head
