Thanks for your input. I have added some more salad and I have decided that my breakfast was too small, and lean on protien. I usually have oatmeal for breakfast and I haved upped my portion and added more milk. If I am not starving by lunch time things are much better later on in the day too. Partly this is growing pains I am sure. Thanks comments and support

another habit that keeps me from being way too hungry - buy a bag of apples (the pre-bagged ones are cheaper, and they are usually smaller; better portion control). Eat an apple about 30 minutes or so before your meal.
I keep apples with me all the time. If I'm in the car, and I start feeling 'rumbly in my tumbly' I eat an apple instead of being tempted to hit the drive thru.

@QuootieIf you are hungry-eat somethng filling and low cal, like sliced cucumbers, carrot sticks, a low fat string cheese.
Have another 8 ounce glass of water, and eat some veggies, or one of those progresso vegetable soups, it will be filling, high fiber, low calorie.
You don't need to deprive yourself, if you are hungry, eat, just make good choices!

Hi QUOOTIE - sometimes we just have extra hungry days, but I kinda suspect that it may be a bit (FAIR bit) to do with the extra walking burning a lot more calories, therefore needing more food! You do mention that " I am well within my range."n which implies that you have a lot of room left to eat more. Apart from that, when you are hungry, ensure that you eat something. There is a BIG difference between hunger and appetite!
I went to have a peek at your Nutrition Tracker to see what you are up to there, but you don't have it on display. Are you eating ALL your meals? Are you eating ENOUGH with each of your meals? Are you eating enough protein? Are you eating enough carbs? (mainly from fruit/vege, wholegrains/nuts) .... AND are you eating enough FAT (healthy fats) because that also helps with satiety.

Try to figure out why you are so hungry. I had a day like this last week and realized I had upped my workouts that week, so I ate a bit more but just made sure it was still healthy food. One day every once in awhile is ok to eat a bit more if you are really hungry. Just make sure to eat healthy snacks. You may eat a little less in the next day or two also. I've done this too, eat a bit more one day & a bit less the next just because that was what my body craved.
