I have run a little bit since I got off of restrictions. But I have spent most of my time strengthening the area and getting it ready for a little more intense training. NOT LIKE I DID WHEN I CAUSED THE INJURY emoticon , but definitely running intervals 2-3 times a week and building slowly.

My muscles are far better conditioned now.....more so than they were before the injury. They are far stronger, and as a result, my ligaments and tendons are in better shape as well. My doctor calls me her RockStar. lol

Thank you! I too, walked around for almost 2 weeks, not knowing. Have you since been able to run? If so, how long did it take you to get to that point? Im hoping to get less restrictions from my doctor next week. . Fingers crossed! :)

I did the same thing several months ago and in the same manner for the same reason and it was the most miserable 5 weeks of my life in terms of being restrained. I don't know about you, but I spent two weeks walking around with a brace on not knowing that I even had a fracture.

What I did was I continued my weight lifting and training......but I worked everything EXCEPT my affected leg. Once I was cleared to start working that leg again, I kept it light and simple using body weight at first.

You are only limited by your own brain. Your crutches are an exercise device in themselves. They alone will help you build your triceps and shoulders. If you want to get some cardio in, lighten up the weights and perform your reps at a much faster rate, going from one circuit machine to another as quickly as possible.

I recently fractured my tibia, training for a 5k. Any suggestions on exercises I can do while I'm healing??
