I should've measured myself when I started tracking again. O well what's done is done. I did measure with a tap today so I'm gonna continue measuring with it. emoticon

MOMO7YROLD,

This isn't the Biggest Loser. the weight doesn't magically drop off the minute we decide we need to lose. While a safe weekly weight loss would be 1-2 pounds per week, there will be weeks you don't lose. There will even be weeks you gain ! And that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong.

Weight loss is a slow steady process that takes time. So, don't beat yourself up because the scale isn't moving as fast as you'd like. Because of your MS, that may slow things down. What to do ? As the Coaches all say,"trust the process".

As others have already noted, day to day fluctuations of the scale are perfectly normal. You're not going to lose overnight. If you do, it's nothing more than water weight. I can easily gain or lose as much as 3-4 pounds in a day because of a shift in my water weight.

Remember, there is more to good health than a number that stares at us from between our toes in the morning. If you continue to eat right, watch your portions and get some regular exercise, you will see change with time.

You have to be patient with yourself and your body. Like I said, this isn't the Biggest Loser. Unless you plan on exercising 4-6 hours a day, you're not going to see a dramatic change in the scale so quickly.

For me to get weight off, I have to limit my refined carbs (as does everyone) AND I have to stay on the low range of allowed calories.
Excercise doesn't work for me if I'm at the upper range.

Good work and keep it up!!

:)
Cheers
Michelle

Day to day weight fluctuations are normal, and part of everyday living. Your weight isn't a static number, more like a vital sign! Before you're concerned something is wrong, give your program 6-8 weeks for results to show up on the scale.

When you start exercising to lose weight, you often gain weight. This is because your muscles are retaining water to cope with the increased demand. This is normal, temporary, and why you should probably stop weighing every day for a little while. :)

I'm frustrated n confused. A few yrs ago I dieted n worked out n 70 lbs came off with no prob. Then I was diagnosed with Ms n my world shattered. I have gained back like prob 50 lbs back so I've got a grip on reality n started tracking everything again. I have lost a few lbs but that is it. My dillemma is on Sunday I exercised for 102 min burned 506 cals Monday morning I weighed n gained a few ounces then Monday I only did 25 min on treadmill Tuesday gained some more ounces so yesterday I did like 88 min of exercise n burned 434 cals I think it was n this mornin weigh was gained 2 more ounces. I'm tracking everything n not goin over or under my Cal range. Could somebody please help me? Am I doing something wrong? Please I would greatly appreciate it.
