I hate when my water gets warm and will slow down on drinking it when it does. I bought a Hydro Flask that keeps my water cold all day. It has really helped. I drink almost 2 full bottles (21oz) at work every day.

I have several water bottles in my fridge. When I open the fridge I see the water bottles on the fridge door. Nice and cold

I have my favorite water bottle with me at all times, because I forget if it's not in plain sight. It helps with the kids too, they see it and want to drink from it too.
I'm having trouble with this too. I'm finding it's easier with my Camelback bottle that I really like and know I have to fill 2.5x a day. I just have to remember to drag it everywhere with me. I drive alot and find that's a good time to get a bunch of my water in too.

One when I wake up One when I go to bed One at each meal One at morning snack One at afternoon snack. One before workout. One during workout One after workout..... Sometimes I make these 2. I find it helps to be very specific. Give myself cues and make it a habit. ie...wake up-drink, eat-drink. etc...If I drink a glass of water as part of my routine it becomes automatic.
I always have to hold myself accountable as one of my first goals in joining here three weeks ago was to drink 64 ounces of water a day....and I have only failed one day.
When I get up in the morning I put 64 ounces of water in a container that is marked off by 8 ounce sections, so I can see at a glance what is left to drink at any given time of the day.
I also love lemon juice in my water which makes it real easy to consume. My second best favorite addition to my water is cucumber. I chop up a cucumber take out the seeds and add it to my water....chill and this is very refreshing on days when my water seems to be less appealing to me.
On my nutrition page I also track my water.

Great ideas - love this thread! Another thing that works for me is to put a bottle in my car, and when I get in, I take the top off. It's ready to sip where ever I am.

I tell myself that I can only eat my meal if I drink 16 oz first. It works for me.
I like to crunch on ice, so I fill my glass with crushed ice then water. My glass is 16 oz, so if I drink it all and eat all the ice I have taken care of 2 servings! It also helps with the mindless snacking I used to do.

Get four or five 16 ounce water bottles and refill them daily. Make sure the first one is by your bed so it's there when you get up, and keep it handy. As you empty each, grab the next.
Or get a 2 quart pitcher and keep it in sight, make sure it's empty by the end of the day. Don't get it in too late or you'll be up all night using the bathroom.
Get a pretty cup or bottle that makes you want to use it, reserve it for water only.
Flavor it with things that are diet friendly. A splash of lemon juice and maybe some sweetener, not enough to make lemonade, just to give a refreshing flavor. Cucumber is nice, as are frozen berries as ice.
Allow yourself a treat once you get your 8 cups in. Maybe a square of your favorite chocolate or a cookie, whatever floats your boat.
Depending on where you work... you can ask a co-worker to help keep you accountable and remind you to drink water throughout the day :)

carry around a bottle of water....I use big ones like gatorade, smart water and dasani, 33oz or larger to keep me hydrated. drink 3-6 a day....

Make sure it is readily available. Always have a bottle or two with you that you can refill when you are finished drinking it. Also, you may want to cut back on the other beverages. If you are drinking plenty of other things like soda, even diet soda, stop. If you don't have anything available to drink except water, you can't forget to drink it. I limit myself to one diet soda per day for now, several cups of hot tea, and then the rest is water.
My weight loss journey restarted on 1/26/13 at 175.8 lbs. My goal weight is 125lbs.
