how to recover after workout

I like to do a slower paced walk the day after an intense workout. Still burning calories and once my legs gets started, I feel much better. I find stretching during squats and side to side squats help too.

This was what I was wondering about...I know that I do need a total day of rest...I was going to make this Sundays because I sleep later than my norm M-F.....and I take my long walks on Saturdays :)

Light workout today would be okay, but in the future remember we all need total rest days. That's when your body gets the time to rebuild itself to make yourself stronger down the line.

Thanks everyone.....I was always stopping when I felt sore before...but that's how the lbs got on...I need to keep going to see the real results :)

I agree, do a light cardio, like walking. Be sure to do a warm up, and then stretching really lightly, it will help the sore muscles relax a little before your workout.

The 2nd day is ALWAYS worse than the day after lol .. Light cardio is your best bet to keep your body active and moving.

I would likely go for a walk. Do something active. The more you tend to move, the more the soreness will leave your body.

I had a personal training session on Wed...did spinning classes on I am very sore...(legs) do I do nothing today or just do light walking or something?

dont wanna skip a day but don't wanna injure myself either :/
