I have been loving my tea, lately! Been exploring the vast universe of flavoured teas. For tea-bag style, I like Stash Chocolate Mint. Plus I drink a lot of loose tea (from Teaopia/Teavana, Davidstea, and a local tea shop in my town)... i find that the rooibos blends are very naturally "sweet and almost creamy tasting" and I have found that I like mint tea (got a nice oolong/spice/mint blend in my teapot right now actually) as well as chai blends... over the past months I've been decreasing the amount of milk/sugar I add - some teas I now drink (even prefer) straight up, some though just cry out for a bit of milk or sweetness...
Some of them really do help serve as a "replacement" for a sweet snack. Salted Caramel tea, for example, tastes and just SMELLS so good...
Yes, a big thumbs up for tea!

I *just* had a cup of hot herbal tea to help hold me till lunch! I love green tea but I can't drink the caffeine after around 9 or 10 AM or I can't sleep properly at night, so breakfast only. Otherwise I drink herbal teas (often loose flowers and herbs in a french press - much cheaper than individual bags) or rooibous "tea", which is a wonderfully earthy drink from South Africa, I believe?
I will often have a cup of tea around bedtime if I'm having a craving, something soothing like chamomile or lavender. If I want a bit more 'body' I'll also had licorice root.
LOL I just realized I am starving, but I'm not ready to eat my lunch yet. As soon as I saw this post, I went to the kitchen and made a cup of tea! It usually works for me for a few hours :)

Thanks for the replies. I had forgotten about black tea! I do like the taste of cold unsweet tea....that may help. And I have seen some chocolate and vanilla varieties of tea but was scared to try them.
although I'm not too keen on the taste, cold black tea without anything added wards off the (after get home from work) cravings for me. I just brew some in a pot with water, let it steep for a few minutes. Put in container and put in fridge.
I actually really like metromint water- they have a chocolate mint variety I drink cold that is pretty tasty (no cals/sugar/fake sugar). That may help!
They do also make some teas with chocolate- I'm just not sure how I'd feel about them :P I drink green tea between meals sometimes- various varieties, though mint and lemon are two of my faves!
If you want to fight your sugar cravings I think there is a sparkchallenge for that!

Does anyone drink hot tea to ward off cravings or to stay full feeling through the day?? Before my last child I would drink the sleepytime tea before bed instead of dessert but its just not cutting these sugar cravinga and now there are cravings during the day. Any suggestions for hot teas? I know chia tea and a bit of skim milk is a good replacement for coffee.
