I enjoy reading (try to do this every day), writing (I try to write a little something in my journal whenever I can), making jewelry (when the spirit moves me), taking classes online (I am in between classes right now, but I hope to register for a new writing class soon), browsing art galleries (for ideas for my own stuff). I recently started a windowsill garden and this weekend I hope to find some herbs that I can grow to add to my meals.
I like to read, but one of our family hobbies is reenacting. This forces us to exercise when we're setting up and tearing down tents, walking a lot, and just moving in general.

I like to make quilts and work on one for several days in a row until the next one. I don't like to sew at night so it strictly a daytime hobby. I also read a lot. I still get in my morning exercise first, I quess you could say thats my first hobby.

I love to crochet and I also knit using Knifty Knitter looms. I make and donate hats to our local cancer resource center for chemo patients, and donate hats for newborns to the hospital. I also love other types of crafts such as counted cross-stitch. I also love to read. I also enjoy photography and sewing.
It does not get in the way of my exercise. I am home most of the time; I had to stop working because of health problems related to having stage IV incurable cancer.

My hobby is refereeing soccer so it actually increases the amount of exercise I get but interferes with family time.

Reading voraciously, cross stitch, and writing - so far I haven't let these interfere with doing what I need to in getting healthy.
I do many types of crafting. I am in the middle of refinishing some old cedar chests. I put those on hold because I love my grandson more, he is my love. He will be moving about three hours away in summer while his dad goes to grad school. I will need to lose myself in something because I will be sad but oh so happy for them too. I did some scrapbooking in the past. I like thrifting and turning old things into new treasures by taking something off, painting it, or adding soemthing to it, or what have you. I like playing Wordox on facebook. I enjoy gardening but have yet to get one going this spring. I might soon, like I mentioned no time as I am filling my time with grandson, daughter and SIL before they move. I want exercise to become a hobby for me, a few years ago biking was.
Well , my favorite hobby ever is cooking and baking!! But I also love camping, hiking biking, jogging, walking, dancing, reading on the treadmill in the winter (yes, I actually enjoy this). Knitting, scrapbooking, quilting, shopping, couponing, sitting around a campfire. I try to make my activities and hobbies as active as I can. Also getting up to move if I've been sitting for a while, But honestly it's difficult for me sit still for more than 20 minutes at a time, as I get too antsy anyway. Unless my husband and I are on a road trip of course, then I guess I have to sit there, lol.
Lifting weights for me now is a hobby. I also like playing Dungeons & Dragons and Magic:The Gathering Surfing the internet
Spending time with my family is NOT a hobby, it's something I LOVE to do!

Hello, I would like to know what hobbies everyone does, how often you do them, and if it gets in the way of your exercising. I crochet, and I usually do it every night, after the kids have gone to bed. This helps me to unwind from the day, but it doesn't get in the way of my exercising, because I usually workout in the morning, and if I sit for a long time, I'll get up and move around or stretch out my arms and hands.
