SparkPeople is a great place to both give and get support.
Many people find it helpful to start with a few habits (maybe drinking water and getting exercise) and make them really solid. Then they add another habit.
I would also encourage you to add a couple blog entries. It's a good way to get specific feedback.

I hope you'll find a team or two where there are others with common interests. Became active on those teams. Find folks who are supportive of you and your goals. Before you know it, you'll be losing your weight and well on your way. If you need help finding teams or have questions, please drop by my page and ask. I'll be happy to help you.
And create a SparkPage for yourself! You'll be glad you did. It's a wonderful way for folks to drop by and communicate with you ... both with comments and goodies.
