I give all new members and anyone who will listen to me one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". if the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction.
I know your bf means well, but losing weight is a very personal thing. We can't force our loved ones to lose weight. WE have to make that decision for ourselves. You should have your own reasons for wanting to lose the weight. Don't do it because you want to please your bf. You have to find the reasons you want to lose for you.
We were all that way. Every one of us had family members or loved ones who told us we needed to lose. Did we ? We did when we were ready. So, the first question I have to ask you is are YOU ready to make a commitment to your health ? If so, then we're all here to help.
Where to start ? Start with some simple changes first. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. Remember, you're trying to change habits learned over a life time. that's not going to happen overnight, a week, a month or even a year. Change takes time, thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body.
I would start by sitting down and deciding what your goals are going to be. Why do you want to lose weight ? once you've decided what you want to do, then you have to decide how you're going to achieve those goals. And once again, the community is here to help. But, you have to set your goals first.
ok people definitley need your advice.... so over the weekend my bf told me he was concerened for my health because I have gained so much weight recently , I was baffled by this cause he has never said anything about this to me, so I was wondering how people get back on the bandwagon and stay movtivated that has always been a weakness of mine. Please help!!!!!
