Every Saturday morning (for the past month, anyways).
Prior to that, I hadn't weighed myself at all, not even once, in over a year (probably close to two). That... was a bad strategy. Like someone else before me has posted, I managed to convince myself I was "probably losing weight! yes, definitely must be losing!" even while i was still putting on a few more.
One day months or years from now when i get to "maintenance" I will make a point of checking that scale once a month. Just to nip any troubles in the bud, next time.

The scale is not the be all and end all. It is a tool .We can not let it define who we are. It needs to be used appropriately in a controlled environment!!!!! Not for the faint of heart. Once or twice a week is good. Sometimes it doesnt move.. If we know we are eating properly and getting enough exercise, it should reflect a loss. And it will. Stick with it!!!!

rarely...while i do needs to shed the pounds, i want my clothes to fit better and to be able to climb the 3 set of stairs when i come home from work without getting out of breath. so i have been monitoring those two things mainly
When I was losing I tried to stay focused on the lowest weigh in of each month, usually weighing once a week. In maintenance I have found I usually do better if I weigh daily, although I will skip a day when I'm feeling bloated and don't want to see the higher number.
Every Saturday morning I weigh myself in the nude, so I get a true reading. Once a week motivates me to eat healthy and exercise during the week so that I can really see what I have done when I get on the scale, also I have tried to weigh myself while at the gym and it's a different reading from my scale. I say weighing in once a week works for me. Weighing myself everyday would depress me.

Every day. But it motivates me. If it depresses you, don't weigh in at all. Just go by how your clothes are fitting. :-)

I am forcing myself to get weighed every Monday. i wasted most of last year because I didn't track my food regularly, didn't exercise regularly, and didn't get weighed very often. As a result, I regained 14 lbs. when I was kidding myself to believe I was losing.
