Thanks for replying good sound advice cant swim unfortunately but gonna try maybe stretching exercises as well.

It's NEVER too early to start. Just start with little changes and do what you can. Remember that food is 1/2 the battle. I would recommend that you take fish oils to help with any inflammation. Also, you might want to try swimming and/or a water aerobics of some sort (like Aqua Zumba). Anything in the water will be good on your hips and joints in general. Also, you can exercise other parts of your body too. If you work your core muscles it will actually take some pressure off your hips and knees. If you do get soreness or pain, remember to ice and not to heat. In general though, I would discuss all this with your doctor and come up with a plan. Good luck and keep us posted!

Please help I need to get back on track can't get motivated I have osteoarthritis have it in both hips and knees can only do exercise bike but I am determined to do 30 minutes a day on it. I would love to loose 2 pound a week would this be enough exercise for me to do on the bike? would I be better waiting until after Easter or just start now?
