Pulled out my oldest mower last night and shoved through unruly thick clumps of grass around the house for an hour. Sore this morning! Yep...it's a workout. Gonna try for an hour each night. Like it better than walking..I get something done instead of just going in circles. Saw more transplanting to do!!! Love the pop-up flowers!

Virginia Bluebells and lilacs are up. Muscali is blooming. Iris stems are up and I have other bulbs that are stemming but not blooming yet. The grass could use a cutting, but isn't out of control yet. Yep...summer's almost here!!!

The church had the traditional Easter lilies last Sun. I walk at the church and know that as they fade...the janitors throw them out...but not if I'm there to salvage...I have some bulbs peeking up in the yard right now. Yea me!!!

Got my seed order last week and then we got 7 inches of snow here in Topeka, KS over the weekend. I'm so tired of the cold and snow - we need the moisture, but can't it just rain please?

I plant in containers so we can rearrange as needed. But we do have our list written, size/container assigned and over all grocery list of items needed

I have several tomatoes blooming and the cucumbers are blooming as well. This is the first year we have grown cucumbers. I put them in containers so they won't take over everything else. I planted some burgundy okra this year. Can't wait to try those.

Picked up sticks in Honey's yard today for about 30 minutes and didn't get a 10th of them gathered. What a mess!!! Hoping the church kids will come and help. But life will go on regardless.

I love garden work myself, and today was such a beautiful day. It would have been a great day to do it. Unfortunately I had to pull everything because we got some cold weather and my cucumbers didn't like the fridit weather and wanted to come inside. emoticon
