You can get ezekiel bread not frozen? I have only ever bought from the freezer section of my natural food store!

Anyway, enzymes aren't alive. They're a type of protein that speeds up chemical reactions.
Nothing wrong with freezing them!

My trainer friend told me to replace whole wheat bread with Sprouted Grain bread like ezekiel bread, because of the live enzymes, low glycemic index, etc.

Anyway, the problem: I get it a Trader Joes, and usually the expiration date is like 2 -3 days from purchase, which makes it impossible to eat them fresh. I've been refrigerating and freezing them, but does that kill the live enzymes?
