This is so true! I didnt realize how addicted I was to potatoe chips! Didnt think it was a big deal until I started logging in my food!

When I first tracked five years ago, I was shocked to see I drank 1500 calories worth of milk, soda and juice during the day. NO MORE. I quit drinking my calories.

I was so amazed the first few times I tracked as well, I now track as I go along, if not Im usually in for a big suprize at the end of the day!

amazing how we can fool ourselves. I thought I had done pretty good yesterday- since I was dying to eat more and didn't/ but when I saw how what I had eaten was more than I needed, it was an eye opener. the thing is, we don't need much food to live/maintain a healthy weight. and we need even less to be able to lose and get down to where we should be. and the thing with tracking food is that I can lie to myself as to the quantity, but the scales tell all. (besides, God sees everything)
