Don't worry so much about eating less food. Focus more on eating healthier foods. Even if you eat the same volume (or even more) you'll be eating less calories, feel more satisfied, and since your body will be getting more of the nutrients it needs you won't feel so hungry. Eating healthier foods will also increase your energy level so you'll be more motivated to get some exercise.
Remember that it doesn't have to be all or nothing. If the best you can do right now is your favorite veggie smothered in butter or cheese or strawberries dipped in chocolate and topped with whipped cream then it's a start...and it's better than a burger and fries or a box of cookies. Nobody is perfect and we all mess up sometimes. But it's how we respond that makes the real difference.
