Thanks for all the replies on feeling blue! I did get to my doctor, my knee and foot are doing much better and I have been able to start exercising out again. I really could have been doing some upper body exercises like some of you recommended - the thing is, I was so down about not being able to use my leg, I didn't do any. I'm back on course and making progress, one day at a time!

you should work on the swollen knee and foot before you work on the weight. If you work on the swollen knee and foot first you will have an easier time working on your weight. Working on your upper body in the mean time might be a good idea so that way you dont fall off course and still exercise.

Hey. I would work on the swollen knee and foot. You didn't say why they were swollen but you need to get them into good shape before you can really start moving. You can always exercise your upper body too for the meantime. I hope you feel better soon,

Hi there! Don't let that get you down, and don't let your knee build a road block to reaching your goal. You can still do upper body exercises and core exercises. You should see a physical therapist to help give you simple, low effort exercises to strenghten the muscles that support the knee. I too have a knee injury and therapy really did help me out.
Sounds like you should be going to physical therapy & getting the leg worked.

So it seems every time I get motivated to exercise and loose weight something happens to stop me. I have not been able to exercise for almost three weeks! I fell and strained my knee and it is swollen still and so is my foot. It's really hard to stay off my leg, my bedroom is upstairs and I still have to go downstairs to eat and whatever. I'm really feeling down about now.
