Any "weight loss" clinic that promotes this sort of nonsense should be avoided, because they're not using evidence-based science to formulate their attempts to skin your wallet. Because that's all they're after, the contents of your wallet.

I have heard of that trick but not tried it. Sounds like a fad diet.

I have heard of it and it didn't work for me.

The only thing that has worked for me is eating healthy, 90% of the time

I think that might work a time or two, but then the "shock" would wear off!

My only "diet trick" is calories in must be less than calories out. Eat small portions of healthy foods as much as possible and exercise as much as possible.

Few calories in........Many calories out. Now THAT'S the trick that works.

Keep Sparking and have a great day everyone!!!

At age 67, I've heard all of these ridiculous "diet" ideas for years, just different names every decade, different liars making money writing books and selling junk, can't believe it's still going around and so many, mostly women, believing it though. Our FDA does nothing and is worthless to us, that's why weight loss as an industry is a Billion Dollar business. I'm surprised some company doesn't promote concentration camps as a way to lose weight, and get some silly celeb to promote it. Put on the thinking caps out there, please.

For most of us with weight problems...eating extra healthy and getting in 7 to 9 servings of veggies and fruit is an even better SHOCK to the body. And it's guaranteed to help you lose weight for the long run.

A you looking for FAD diet ideas...or just kidding?

Please don't listen to any advice offered suggesting the HGC "diet." - it is DANGEROUS.

I think the notion of "shocking your body" into dropping weight arises out of the observation that sometimes, we eat "healthy" for days and the scale doesn't change, and then we have a day or two of "poor/over-eating" and yet, the scale drops.... and we humans like to see "cause and effect" so we assume.............

when in actual fact, it's mostly likely just coincidence, and merely further proof that bodies and scales are unpredictable things....

Yes, with HGC supplement. After 2 days you do a 500 calorie diet for 4 weeks.

No, never heard of it. I do think that the odd shake up to the metabolism might not do any harm though.

Your body isn't going to lose more (or less) weight because of some kind of shock cycle. The best diet is a balanced one, with healthy amounts of healthy fats, lean proteins, and plenty of fruits and vegetables, ALL the time.

"Shocking" your body won't do anything. It sounds like nothing to me but a binge cycle. Skip it. If it does any kind of "shock" at all, it'll likely cause gas and gastrointestinal discomfort if anything.

Has anybody ever heard of eating high in fat foods then shocking your body after 2 days and then eating a low calorie diet of lean protein veggies and fruits?
