I agree with PPs. A short, light walk could do you a world of good. If you can, take someone with you just in case!

Sometimes you need to get better to exercise .... high fever, flu, stomach virus, etc. are energy draining and get healthy first!

same here. if I have the flu or a bad virus or even a fever, I choose to rest. I let my body fight it out and get itself healthy.
If it is just a cold or feeling "meh", I exercise. I usually feel better.

With the flu I would definitely take it easy until I felt better. Unless you feel well enough to get outside and take a walk. Fresh air always makes me feel better when I'm sick instead of sitting in a cooped up house!

I've always followed the "below the neck" rule. If you have symptoms below the neck then you should rest. If I have a sniffly nose, sore throat, headache, etc I sill work out.

If you really have no energy, you should rest. If you are just a little sick but don't want to miss a day, do something light like walking. You don't need to swear off exercise every time you get the sniffles, but you also need to take a rest when your body tells you to. Only you can determine just how sick you are and if you need a rest day. :) Hope you feel better soon!

My question is should you still exercise while you are sick.. this flu has knocked me down hard.. no energy at all. emoticon
