I agree that water exercise would likely be your best bet since there's no impact on your joints. Here's an article you might also find helpful:

How about water exercise? I joined the local "Y" after injuring my back. Deep water exercise with a flotation belt has been helpful.

Does anyone, have any ideas of what I can do for exercises with an arthritic knee and hip. I can no longer walk very far before I am in pain not can I jump or stand very long, yet I am not bad enough yet to have either one replaced. I have stayed the same for the last 2 months and want my restart my weight loss journey, so far this year I have lost almost 70 pounds, with diet and walking.
