does an HRM count?
I know its technically a cardio gadget, but I've noticed it helps motivate me and keeps me from taking over-long breaks between sets

For me, nothing beats free weights...if you have either dumbbells or, even better, a bar with plates, you're set.

I agree that body weight exercises are great for all sorts of good reasons, but if you're trying to build muscle bulk, it's not going to cut the mustard...

yesterday after work I did my own Tabata workout at the office. I had a 7:00 meeting elsewhere, so I changed into my exercise clothes & did my workout.

I am SO sore today! So yeah, body weight exercises can really do the job. I learned some really good ones in the last boot camp class. We rarely used any equipment.

My own body weight too - and also my three sets of dumb bells of varying weights.

I've found I can get a great full body workout in just using the above.

I've got a resistance band but can't quite get on with it for some reason - much prefer dumb bells.

I'd actually have to say my favorite piece is either a hex bar or a 25lb plate weight (or 2 ;)). Between those and my skin suit I can do about 90% of my ST. :D

For the home, your own body is indeed great. Resistance bands are also nice because they are portable and lightweight.

At the gym, I usually use the cardio equipment. And the classes. I love the classes. That's maybe not a piece of equipment but they're a fun way to get in some strength training and I have made some great friends.

like M@L, I love body weight exercises because you can do them ANYWHERE! It's great to have a repertoire of activities so you can keep up with your exercise goals when you are unable to get to a gym or even your home eqpt.

gym eqpt? Gotta be cable crossover...because it has so many uses. emoticon
