I am an early bird but also enjoy being a night owl at times.

I used to be a night owl, but in the last 5 years or so I've gradually progressed to early bird. Not on purpose.

Night owl

I think this is genetic. My Dad was up reading until early hours and I have always done the same. My Mom would go to bed at 10 and my sister does that too.

My answer used to always be night owl but I haven't been able to stay up late as much. Definitely not an early bird, though! :)

Early bird in the Army (of course) but night owl by temperment or inheiritance. My mom was a night owl, too. I live in a basement apartment with few windows, so there are no clues to which 8:00 it is or which 2:00. When I have no special reasons to get up at any specific time, and just sleep when I'm tired and up when I'm awake, I always find myself awake at night and asleep during the day. I can do that because I'm retired and single.

BTW~ Congratulations, all you posters making such great progress!

Both! I fight with myself to get to bed at a reasonable time and then tear myself from the covers every morning. Trying to fully embrace the early bird so that I can keep working out in the morning.

I used to be able to stay up until 3 am all the time in college. Now I'm an early bird. Up by 8 on the weekends without my alarm (6:45 on weekdays).

I am definitely a night owl. I hate waking up in the morning. Ever since I can remember I have always felt more awake at night, and I feel like I sleep so much better in the morning. My mom even told me that I was like that when I was a baby.

I am a night owl, so much so that I am lucky if I get 6 hours of sleep. I am really trying to work on this because I definatly think it effects my weight loss. emoticon
