I am one month away from no period for a year. I have less energy, gained weight, no motivation and can't seem to feel normal. I am always bloated, I have bursts of energy that last a couple of hours, usually when I am in work though. At home I'm not keeping the house up like I used to and I drag myself to the gym and put in half the workout I used too. I remember loving it and now I only love spin and its only two days but it feels amazing. I feel like I can diet for a week, really good diet and see minimal results. I had great results years ago with LOW carb, but now I can't manage two days without giving in. Wish I was as skinny as I was 3 years ago when I thought I was fat :(
Well, if that is true, then it follows just what men have said about older women and we aren't worth much, so good reason for them to go out and find another younger one. I'm 64 and I don't think that menopause took my energy, but depression certainly can occur and that does. I got on HRT and Prozac at 48 which just helped me feel normal and not like I was down in a hole I couldn't climb up from.

Totally...don't sleep well at night, so there's not a lot of energy left to make it through the day.

I have just recently realized I'm in the midst of menopause. Maybe it's all in my mind, but I seem to have less energy now for my cardio, which I have been doing for 2 years, and for activities of daily living. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it something else, like the summer lazies?
