I used to party like a rockstar....until I found out how many empty calories are in alcohol. Now I'm just a boring (albeit healthy) ol' fuddy duddy. emoticon

The past few weeks I have drank too much beer. I am getting a hold on it now, and it's wine from now on. Really need to try and cut down too. Planning on 1 night a week.

Yes I am one who'll honestly tell you that I drink too much alcohol. In fact I just sent a question to the experts to ask them how much is too much because I know its packed with empty calories and sugar. And in order to get a handle on my weight I must slow down not only on the alcohol but the chasers too.

Once in awhile too much but very rarely about once per year. Most of the time I don't drink at all. When I do drink it's anywhere from 1-3 glasses of wine

I drink it very rarely. I've noticed that friends of mine that work out and watch what they eat but drink regularly have a hard time getting and keeping the weight off.

Hmm...that's a tough one. I don't drink during the week but I might have a few too many on a weekend night--depending on the situation. Last night was my mom's birthday, the wine was flowing and I had a DD. I ended up drinking more than I'd planned but not so much that I didn't think to have a glass of water after each drink. It must have worked because I don't feel at all hungover this morning. Still, I know it would be to my benefit to stop drinking all together. My brother stopped drinking three weeks ago and has already lost seven pounds!

Hi Kelly-Anne..
i was a drinker in college. as in..thats where i got my big belly. i had one very bad night and quit..i have a drink here and there but not excessively.
i do like mojitos. mango ones...and i allow myself one every 2 weeks. i sip it slowly and make it with stevia not simple syrup..and fresh fruit..then i freeze it all and it gets slushy. i make it 4 ounces and can make it last an hour. it feels like a huge treat, i havent done alot of damage diet wise and i'm not depriving myself which i think is KEY!!!

I'm curious.......Is there any one out there who has a problem drinking to much alcohol? It's an easy way to sabbitosh your diet/eating healthy.I know I used to.I no longer drink at all or at least try not to.If I do it's only one or two but even that is to much,it is so high in calories, and the side affects of wanting to eat can lead to a huge food frenzy.(Not Good.)So I really am very careful and really think before I drink(which I pointed out is not often)maybe once a month, lately not even that. But still there has to be out of the thousands of s.p. out there,at least some who may struggle w/ this while trying to lose weight.....I just though it would be an interesting topic-and who knows maybe there are people out there who may really have a problem and don't know how,or don't want any one to know they drink to much.I figured if this grabbed any ones attention, that this could be a place to open up about it,and find thiere not alone.I know I once had that problem, very embarrassing, though it shouldn't and maybe talking about it would help.Hope I'm not alone on this topic, please leave a comment, don't be shy,who knows???Like to think I'm not alone! This may help u w/ ur endeavours. emoticon emoticon
