I don't know if you have been to our Depression Condition Center or not. You will find a variety of articles there and might find one that offers some tips or ideas you have not considered or yet tried.

You are right. People really don't know what to say. We don't understand it. But, maybe by exercise and healthy eating will help you feel better and you can pull yourself out of your depression. Only you know what works for you. Good luck and welcome to SparkPeople.

Hi I am fairly new here. I went to my doc today and she is changing my anti-depressants so the next few weeks should be fun. Just started my diet as of yesterday and working out on my new exercise bike, well new to me.
I posted yesterday how people who don't suffer from depression don't know what to say to us and just mostly want us to snap out of it. Well when I am feeling like this I don't want to be around anyone. I have to go to work, but as for any kind of social activity, forget it!!! All I want to do is be by myself. And of course eat, which I am trying not to do....
