Unfortunately, if there is only one option for serving types, there isn't a way to change that. However, you can use the conversion calculator that comes up when you have selected a food to add. Here's a direct link for that: recipes.sparkpeople.com/nutrition_serving_ calculator.asp . You can use that to convert those serving types as needed.

I'm bummed. Was trying to create a recipe and wanted it to list 1/3 cup of cilantro. It would only let me list by spoonfulls. Had the same problem with rice vinegar. Could not change from spoons to cups. Is there a simple way to do that?
I did that and I still can't call it up. I ask for it using the title I gave the recipe. I ate my first serving of my new recipe today and it was really good. My friend wants to try it. I thought having her find it on sparkrecipes would be the easiest way, since she does not live near me.

Did you remember to check the box to "Share My Recipe" as its defaultly un-ticked, you have to chose to share it.
You can go and share it now by going to the "Edit Recipe" button, make no changes, but scroll down and tick the share box and save.
I love to cook. I have created several recipes on recipes.sparkpeople.com. I did one last night for Hibachi Chicken with Fried Rice...doing some substituting to make it diet friendly. This morning, it will not show up in a search. Is there a time lag before new recipes show up? I have it in my recipe box but I can't find it in a cold search. I have a friend that wants the recipe.
