I took my teen shopping with me and showed her the "new program" I was following. After hearing it was costing more on food, I tried to show her fun ways to save money (buy the fresh produce on sale and change menu on Spark tracker). My goal is to get to eating better and exercising more. So, my message is to keep on going forward and I pick and choose the menus based upon how busy we are, work schedules and discuss the food changes/calories with the teens in my house to educate them. My teens don't have weight problems, nor did I when I was their age. So, I am trying to teach them now that as they age, have kids and their body changes, they will need to make changes too!
