I love your color ideas Shawnssica.

I saw a dress this past weekend that had deep purple yellow and orange flowers and it was so pretty.

I'm getting married in August too :) Originally I was going to do black dresses with purple, yellow, and orange accents. The colours pop really well together. I ended up falling in love with a deep purple dress for the girls so chose that instead, with yellow and orange flowers. These colours are nice "end of summer" colours though and would still look great with black. Good luck!

I think black, turquoise and white would be gorgeous!

What about a pale gold color?

How about black and hot pink? The pink would be a great summer color to go with the black!

My colors are lime green and deep chocolate - the green really pops when used sparingly - my wedding is at the end of august - can't wait!!

My colors are red and black. We are having a late Sept wedding and we're going to incorporate fall colors for the ceremony as it will be outside.

My cousin got married last year early August and her colors were black and white. That's an idea for you. Have black and white as your main colors and then she had a bright green accents on the flowers.

Black and white gives you a wide spectrum of colors to use as an accent and if you decide to use an orangish color it won't look so Halloween-y with the white along side it.

With black dresses for the bridesmaids, you could use white or any color of the rainbow. I would stay away from orange. Orange is not a color that is complimentary to all skin tones. Yellow is another color that is not always complimentary to all skin tones. But a deep rose red or bright turquiose would be beautiful with the black.

You could use any color combination. In August I like a bold color with black dresses.

I agree that orange would look to Halloween. Or like High School colors.

Whatever you choose I am sure it will be lovely.

My fiance' and I are thinking of moving our wedding from November to August..how ironic.

Since you already have black dresses, you pretty much have free reign as to complementary colors. What colors were you planning for your fall wedding? You could still use them!

I think a deep, bright purple would be pretty as would a cerulean blue. Light pink, orange, and cranberry all strike me as pretty with black, too. Really, the only thing I would stay away from is orange so it doesn't look Halloween-y. (:

My fiance and I originally had an october date set for our wedding, had pretty much everything planned, but now some things came up and we had to move the wedding up to august. I am completely stressed out about planning and i have no idea what color combos to use for a late summer wedding. My bridesmaids dresses are black and thats about it so far.. lol. Any ideas would be appreciated!
