I started xcountry skiing a few years ago. I also snowshoe. These activities make the winter go fast.

So many people isolate themselves from the weather. It starts when the temperature drops below 50, then the trails are almost empty. I am thankful to have a dog to take for walk-runs everyday regardless of the weather. The only exception is severe weather which doesn't happen often. So while out I take pictures along the way and have taken some really good ones to.

we are in the in between temperatures now - very cold and almost too warm. Waking up in the mornings oh brrrrrrrrrrrr and by mid day - sitting out on a lawn chair enjoying the last of the rays of that glorious sun -- we know the rains are comings

Colder weather is a real motivator to me. Gives me more energy than hot weather
I wish it cold enough down here to make a difference! I miss the cold weather (not the ice and snow) from the north. I'll keep walking but it will be more comfortable in the "cool" winter in FL.

My gym offers some fitness classes, and they are pretty popular especially when the weather isn't great. When there's snow, shoveling is good exercise, ice skating, walking my dog, and even hiking is pretty!
I do the same as always, walking and running outdoors or yoga indoors. The only thing I will change is when it gets dangerous with ice outside I'll use a threadmill.

I try to get out and walk even if it's only round the local streets. If all else fails and the weather's awful I go to the biggest supermarket I can find, park as far away as possible in the underground carpark and then walk the aisles of the supermarket as fast as possible (without actually running anyone over with my trolley!) Or else I might go to the shopping mall, which offers a bit more scope for walking.
I wish. I live in Florida and so far our coldest day was 85'. We are due to drop into the high 70' next week. Two yrs. ago we did get snow flurries in January. It lasted about 5 seconds.

I like to use my new treadmill and actually go on walks outside when it's sunny! Of course living in Minnesota the sunnier it is during snow season the COLDER it is! I LOVE walking during the winter! Hearing the crunch of snow under your feet! Of course I tend to slip a lot. One time I was walking home from work and I thought "It's always when you least expect it when you fall" and a second later I slipped on ice and hit the ground hard. I laughed so hard at the irony that the guy opening his garage in front of me looked at me like I was nuts.
I hate cold weather - That's why I moved to Florida!

go to the gym early, before I have time to think about it. which the windshield is defrosting, I go back into the house and get my gear together, so at least the car is warm. something about early in the morning makes it all work. never thought I'd be saying this.

I hate cold, but I try to make myself bundle up and get walk outside on the weekends for a change of scenery. I also enjoy pictures so sometimes I'll take my camera and see if I can find something fun to capture

I use my treadmill .... and to force myself to not fall back to a couch potato I go to the Y and workout with weights

I'm lucky I live in Florida where we have very mild winters. Even on the coldest day, we have lots of sunshine. I'm always motivated to get outside everyday.

I love my Walk at Home tapes for the months of icy and snow. I also have a membership at the YMCA this year and plan to use their treadmill as much as possible.

I bought a used Nordic Trak ski machine that was listed in an ad in our local paper. $100, in great shape and it's a great workout. I also have mini trampoline that I jog on. Easier on the knees then outside too! I also have aerobic videos and weights.
For me winter isn't much different as I work out at home. Biggest difference is in the summer I can hike, in the winter I can cross country ski.
