I'm with Holly. You can certainly enjoy a glass of wine if it fits into your range. Watch your portion size, and think about using a serving size of three to four ounces, instead of six to eight. If you use a smaller wine glass, it has the same mental effect as using the smaller dinner plates.

good job on the check in!!! I have found, for myself, that i dont say anything is off limits. I really dislike wine, but if it was something i did like i would have a small amount!! the only thing i find i cant have a small amount and be satisfied with is snickers. one mini just doesnt cut it for me...but i CAN have 6 peanut m and mes and be fine...or one dove dark square, etc. As for a substitute...i dont think so. sorry!!
