Have you entered your exercises/activity level into SP so that it can take that into account when calculating your calorie range? You may need to eat more calories if you are active.
Having said that, though, it's not uncommon for people to lose that much weight the first week following a major diet change. This can happen as a result of things like losing water weight, having less food in your system, etc. I know that, if I've been eating a little too much salt, I can gain 5 lbs from that and, once I return to eating the recommended amount of salt, I will lose those 5 lbs over about 3-4 days. Fluctuations in weight can occur even independently of a diet change. For example, women often gain and lose a few pounds throughout the month as a result of their menstrual cycles. Weight loss also doesn't occur by the book, meaning that it usually doesn't follow that perfect, straight, line downward. Sometimes, you lose 4 lbs in a week and then you don't lose the next week at all and maybe you'll lose 1 lb the following week.
So, if you know that you are actually eating the recommended amount of calories (you are weighing and measuring your foods and not eyeballing) and you've told the SP program about your activity level to allow it to take that into account, I'd hold off for another week or so before making any increases to calorie intake...just kind of see what happens.

I've been on the Spark diet for a week and I've lost 5 lbs which is great. Should I be worried if I'm losing too fast? I know my calorie range is 1200-1550, but the Spark diet is keeping me in the 1200-1300 range. Is there a way to increase the calories on the Spark diet, or do I have to manually add extra calories?
