I think your plan to work on your diet first and the introduce exercise to your routine in a few weeks is a great plan. Taking too much on at once may leave you less motivated when you don't do everything perfect all at once. I would consider trying to limit the specialty coffee drinks as much as possible. You can get a regular coffee with a squirt or 2 of sugar free flavoring instead of the latte drinks to save a lot more calories. It sounds like you are off to a great start! yea i def get that i drink too many calories. I am working on cutting that down... got sodas almost elliminated, (have maybe 1 or 2 a week) and have been drinking green tea alot more, (iced and hot) and dont know if i can get rid of my coffees, but i am happy i have dropped the calories down on them, and next week im getting rid of most juices. :)
slow and steady wins the race. I will be honest tho....You drink too many calories. Drinking your calories is just wasted calories. I always eat my calories. I never drink fruit juice I always eat fruit. I never drink flavored coffees as that is wasted calories. But in spite of that it seems like you are on the right foot. I would get your eating under control and then work on your exercise. Remember that it is 80% nutriton 10% exercise and 10% genitics. Good luck.

That's fine. I worked on just my diet for the first month, then I started introducing an exercise routine. About 30 mins 4-5 days a week and worked my way up.

Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. Start with small changes first. If you're not used to regular exercise, why not start with a daily 30 minute walk ? Walking is great cardiovascular exercise. there are members who will tell you how they lost 100+ pounds just by walking and watching what they ate. You don't have to do a lot to start a regular exercise routine. If you find it too difficult to walk for 30 minutes, then walk for 10. You can break your workouts up into shorter segments and still get all the benefits. Three 10 minute walks during the day, still adds up to a 30 minute walk.
You could even do a couple of Coach Nicole's 10-15 minute workouts. If you go to the fitness section, there are lots of different workouts posted. take a daily walk and do a short video. that's a start.
Remember, you want to slowly ease into a regular routine so that your exercise will become just that, a routine. The same with how you eat. Don't make drastic changes you can't stick with. set reasonable goals so that you and your body can adjust to the new routine.
It is recommended to start slowly so you don't get overwhelmed, and so you can make the changes part of your life. It sounds like you are doing great by making small changes where and when you can. If you need to just focus on the food for now, then do it. Better to do one thing well than to do 2 things OK. Weight loss is 80% diet, so you won't be harming your weight loss by waiting to start exercising while you get your food under control.

ok, so I'm working on revamping my eating habits, today i did alot better, i had a smirnof (hey...its new years lol) and a small bowl of air popped popcorn for my evening snack... (about midnight....lol again, its new years...) and i have been making better choices even if i decide to indulge... (had to work this morning, but cleaned the whole kitchen before the sitter got here, so i stopped by starbucks, but instead of the normal grande mocha frape i got a tall carmel macchiato (cant spell...lol) that saved me over 300 calories... I've been having just one serving of dinner, even if there is left overs, (ill send those to work with hubby) .... anyways I'm rambling, the point is, I'm working on revamping my diet, i usually go through 2500-3000 calories a day at least, but I've been able to stay under 2000 and usually pretty close to my 1500 mark, but I'm just not able to focus on that and exercise right now... Is it "safe" for me to focus on my revamping my diet to be healthier for a couple weeks then add exercise? or is there a better approach?
