I also love love love cabbage soup, but would never dream of The Cabbage Soup Diet. A nice tomato based soup full of veggies, though....mmm mmm!

Just eating cabbage soup is not the Cabbage Soup Diet....you need to google "The Cabbage Soup Diet" it will give you the recipe, plus the other foods to eat, the days to eat the soup ,etc. I had heard of it, so I googled it and got all this info, but decided against it as it just did not seem feasible for me. I love cabbage soup. I think it will clean you out, and that may account for immediate weight loss, which will be bowel contents and water. However, good cabbage soup can be a version of vegaterain vegetable soup. I use cabbage, diced tomatoes, green or red sweet peppers, zucchini, ( I am not a fan of eggplant), onions, green beans, carrots, any left over veggies such as whole kernel corn, broccoli, cauliflower, and I add cooked dry beans. Veggie broth or tomato juice or V-8 ( I use low sodium vegetable juices) are great to give that soup consistency. My versions vary every time. I season with basil, a little oregano, garlic, maybe some Mrs. Dash or dried unsalted vegetable bits. I always run them through the Recipe Calculator, and they run 150 to 200 for 1-1/2 cups. This is just part of a meal. But it tastes great, fresh, and wonderful in the cool weather of spring or autumn. If you need more substance, add 2 TBSP of barley or a 1/4 cup of brown rice. this is not the "cabbage soup diet" kind of soup. However, changing up your choices while keeping healthy choices can help you break a plateau or jump start a beginning.
eating three bowls of soup a day will get you about 300 calories which is starving yourself and, well, that much cabbage soup isn't going to make you smell all that good when it hits your digestive system!

ok so i read that if you drink cabbage soup daily, you can help reduce your weight and lose more if your body is stuck on a certain number, so far ive been going up and down between 226 and 227 and i need that recipe to help me, i also got veggies broth for it
